New Culture View (新文化报) reports today on the many marriage registrations that took place yesterday because of the lucky date － 10.10.10. In Changchun alone, 1917 couples were married, and traffic was congested due to at least 10,000 cars hired for the use of getting married. The newspaper cited the idiom for “perfect” (十全十美), which involve two number “10s.”
On top left, a picture of Wen Jiabao on the cover of Time magazine in the South Pacific and Asia editions. iZaobao linked to a microblog that asked why Wen Jiabao’s face was covered by the Time logo when it was the other way around when Vladimir Putin was on the cover.
