In the wake of several violent attacks on school children, Chinese newspapers have been featuring stories about new security measures being implemented by schools across the country.
Today’s New Express reports that students in Guangzhou’s Nansha District will be protected by armed guards carrying batons. In the front-page photo, assembled guards are equipped with helmets, side-handle batons, and riot shields.
