Hu Ge (胡戈) is a Shanghai-based video editor who rose to overnight fame after he produced an online video spoof of Chen Kaige’s multi-million dollar flop movie The Promise (see this Danwei post for background).
He has released another spoof online video called 007 Big War — The Pork Prince. It’s professionally shot but unfortunately a little too long, a little too predictable, and a little too slick. It includes plenty of product placement from 7-Up. Being co-opted by The Man has its drawbacks.
