Actress, director and blogger Xu Jinglei, was once China’s top blogger, but she is currently number nine on Sina’s blog rankings.
Her appeal has always been girl next door rather than glamorous or sexy. So her photo on the cover of the April issue of Cosmopolitan magazine (pictured) has caused a great deal of discussion on Chinese blogs and Internet forums: why so sexy?
Speculation is that she is trying to promote her new film, the romantic comedy Du Lala’s Promotion (杜拉拉升职记) which hits Chinese screens on April 15.
