First snowfall of 2008 for Nanjing

The front photo of today’s Yangtse Evening Post shows a girl playing in the snow in Nanjing. Yesterday, most of Jiangsu Province met with its first snowfall of the winter. The article predicts that wet, snowy weather will continue for another two days.

The paper’s top headline announces that provincial government will provide subsidies to low-income residents in an attempt to reduce the effects of rising prices. More than one million people across the province will qualify.
