The Yushu earthquake tragedy is still the focus of today’s newspapers. Unlike yesterday, however, there is a hint of color on most of the pages.
Color is given to the the national flag, otherwise, it’s a heart to show solidarity and unity, as well as love, at a time of crisis.
However, reports, including by The New York Times, have commented on a forced show of solidarity - which includes the coloration of the regional papers around the country. On Xujun Eberlein’s blog, a reader wrote in about the somber mood of the country on the day of mourning yesterday.
