A Danwei reader sent in this photo of a countdown clock — the black thing on top of the bridge in the image. He writes: “It never actually said what the boards were for… They just had a seriously huge number counting down, including the milliseconds. Everyone assumed it was a countdown for the Olympics. It all packed up just few months after they were installed. Now it’s just a blank board.”
