Taking aim at a hardworking actress

Cecilia Cheung as Zhou Xuan.

Speaking to reporters this week about working on her first TV series, the biographical drama Zhou Xuan, Cecilia Cheung addressed her workaholism:

I’m not someone who likes to wait. I’m a super workaholic. Shooting a film is too slow; now, I have to work at least 13 hours a day to feel good.

Though Cecilia doesn’t really seem to be whining about her poor, tortured life as a film star, her statement still rubbed some people the wrong way. On Netease, a poll asks: “Cecilia Cheung said that she has to work at least 13 hours a day to feel good – what work would she be good at?” Current results (from over 7000 respondents) are:

Dongguan factory worker: 54%

Miner: 22%

Taxi driver: 16%

Netease editor: 6%

She’s not likely to pull in 8 million yuan for one of those jobs, I’m afraid.
