Podcast Pioneers — Antiwave 反波

This episode of Danwei TV’s Hard Hat Show is an interview with Flypig and Ping Ke, the two Chinese bloggers who make the excellent Antiwave podcast.

We talk about Antiwave’s birth and history and touch on several subjects, including media in China and how much things have changed the days, back in the 1980s, when Ping Ke’s heart was set aflutter just by seeing a copy of Time magazine. Ping Ke also explains about his attitude to Japan, and his reaction to online comments to his podcast calling for a rational attitude towards China’s historical enemy.

You can watch the episode below (on the Tudou server in China) and also in Youtube version on Danwei.tv, where there are also links to other ways to watch (Tudou is slow when viewed from U.S. and Europe, while Youtube is not working properly in China).

If you understand Chinese and would like to hear the whole, unedited interview, click here (全采访纪录音频) to hear it on Tudou. You have to click the play button on a video player, but there’s no video, only audio.
