Antiwave listener survey results

Danwei’s favorite Chinese podcast series Antiwave has just published the results of their Fall 2007 Listener Survey, compiled from more than 1,000 online responses.

Their demographic is similar to Danwei’s — a high concentration of people in media, technology and communications in the 20 to 40 age range — but naturally almost all Antiwave listeners are native Chinese speakers, whereas Danwei, being in English, attracts a majority of English speakers with only 20 to 30% native Chinese speakers.

More than 60% of Antiwave audience listen to the podcasts on the website itself, with only 13.5% listening to the programs on iPods and other portable MP3 players. This is probably very different from the numbers one would expect from American listeners who are far more reliant on iPods.
