According to The Beijing News via Chongqing Times, a building resembling Tiananmen gate looking has been constructed in a town near Chongqing.
This building consists of seven separate towers. It cost more than RMB 5 million and is the office building for Huangjin town’s government in Zhong County of Chongqing. According to a villager from the town, this office building has a big conference hall, a multi-functional hall and more than 120 office suites. The amount of the ladders and layers seems to have some special meaning.
Local villagers have not yet been given compensation for their land which was taken by the local government to make the building. The town government also owes the construction company RMB 1.6 million.
