Most of today’s Beijing newspapers led with the the current clampdown on porn. According to this newest law issued by Supreme People’s Court and Procuratorate of China, from September 6, someone who make use of the Internet or mobile communications facilities to spread ‘pornographic information’ can be severely punished. ‘Serious offences’ can lead to life imprisonment. The seriousness of the crime is defined by the popularity of the porn; for example, operators of porn site that gets more 250,000 visitors is defined as serious.
