The above headline was a big news item today. A new health standard allows Hepatitis B carriers to be eligible for civil service and also does away with old requirements on candidates’ weight and height. Hepatitis B virus carriers are eligible to work for the government as long as they are confirmed not to be actually sick form the disease.

The pictured front page is from The Beijing News, with a cover photo featuring a big fire disaster in Nanjing. At about 11:10 yesterday, Nanjing Youth Science and Technology Center, which is still under construction, caught fire and was totally destroyed. There were no deaths or injuries.
