The Anti-Narcotics Commision of Beijing has issued an official notice inviting drug addicts to voluntarily register themselves with the local PSB offices, the Beijing Times reports today. The deadline for the registration has been set for the 10th of June. Those who register with the authorities within the deadline will receive medical treatment, help in finding an occupation and in participating in social activities. The authorities guarantee that information about them will be kept confidential. For those who won’t register, the article reports that they will “be forced to go through treatment”.
