Below are some propaganda posters from Dongcheng District in Beijing. Dongcheng (or East City) is a historic city district stretching from the city’s central north-south axis to the old city walls. The city walls were destroyed in the 1950s to make way for the picturesque Second Ring Road and a subway line underneath it.
These billboards were found near the shopping street of Wangfujing. The propaganda posters will stay up until a commercial advertiser can found to pay for the space.
