Three Beijing newspapers used similar photos on their front pages about an incident in Changchun: A 23-year-old bandit kidnapped a middle aged woman who was driving a car to pick up her kid from kindergarden. People on the street stopped him and called the police. The bandit took the woman as hostage and started to bargain with the police, but he refused all offers and threatened to kill the hostage. So the police shot him. Both the hostage and bandit died.
