Blood transfusion conmen run wild because of blood donation target

There is currently a blood donation drive. Many blood donors do it for financial reasons. Blood gangsters are taking advantage of such people using a variety of tricks to cheat donors out of the money that they should receive. Another section of the report notes that very few Beijing citizens donate blood at voluntary (i.e. unpaid) donation centers: most of the donors are from outside Beijing. Unpaid donors are compensated in kind: if they need a blood transfusion within five years of giving blood, they can up to five times the amount of blood they donated for free.
