Most newspapers put pictures of an “anti-corruption exhibition” that opened in Beijing yesterday on their front pages. In the photo on the front page of The Beijing News (pictured left), a visitor stops in front of photos of Bi Yuxi, former deputy director of Beijing Communications Bureau convicted of taking bribes who was handed a death penalty with a two-year suspension.
Photos and documents from 42 corruption cases are used to educate the city’s 1.3 million Communist Party members to be aware of corruption and how to fight it. More than 5,000 CCP members visited the exhibition yesterday.
The leading headline on the front page is: “Food safety laws and discussion planned in Beijing.”
