The Bookworm restaurant and bookstore in Beijing is holding a press conference on Monday, January 16. This is what it’s about:
A Chinese lawyer, Liu Gang, bought an integrated map of the world in Shanghai in 2001 – the map is dated 1418 and is Chinese. After years of research Liu Gang is going public with his map, and it is to be released on Monday January 16th at The Bookworm. Liu Gang will also present the evidence that has led him to believe in the authenticity of the ‘Chinese Map’. The map will be here on the night for all to view.
Press conference 6:00 – 7:15pm
Speakers: Mr. Liu Gang (lawyer, art collector and owner of the map), and Frank Lee (agent of Gavin Menzies, author of 1421, The Year the Chinese Discovered the World)
Bookworm Talk 7:30 – 8:30pm
Speakers: Mr. Liu Gang and Frank Lee
