Sanlian Life Weekly’s October 27 edition (see the cover picture here) has a fairly balanced article on the debate about legalizing marijuana in the US and Europe.
The use of marijuana as a drug is illegal in China, but the legal ramifications of possession are murky because the country is also home to a massive hemp growing industry. The hemp is used mostly for making clothes. Marijuana also grows wild in many places in China.
