Some magazines people are reading in Beijing:
FHM China, with Karen Mok (Mo Wenwei) on the cover. Mok is quarter-Persian, quarter-German on her father’s side, half-Chinese and more or less from Hong Kong. She is the woman featured in Canon’s current China campaign for their Ixus digital cameras. The August issue of FHM has many photos of Karen Mok, and quite a lot of advertising devoted to Ixus.
This is Caijing, an investigative business and economic magazine that many people say is China’s only magazine with a vision. The cover story is about Goldman Sachs China, a joint venture between the super kosher Wall Street investment house and Chinese financier Fang Fenglei.
