There’s apparently a new Chinese hacker group messing around online. This afternoon when I loaded up the text index of National Business Daily, a Shanghai-based paper, I was suprised to see a link to just one article: “The birth of a new hacker organization: China Evening Hacker Alliance.” The article itself article contained a link to the organization’s home page.
The domain yeker.cn was registered on the 22nd, so the NBD hack is probably designed to increase the group’s exposure and promote their site. Currently, China Evening Hacker Alliance lists just six members, sharing one piece of software (a keystroke logger) and 27 informational articles.
