I haven’t seen the documents but the word on the China media grapevine is that coverage of Mu Zi Mei has been banned by the Press and Publications Bureau, the authority responsible for er, regulating print media. The Internet is not so easy to control though. A Google search of the Chinese characters of her name now turns up 109,000 results.
Cheesy music fansite feiwen.com now has a Mu Zi Mei page with tabloid style large type headlines, most of the girl’s writings in in a convenient downloadable folder, links aplenty, and a collection of photographs many of which were ripped straight off danwei.org.
