For the last few few days, state-owned news agency Xinhua has been reporting that China’s population would reach 1.3 billion on January 6.
Today is January 6. So now Xinhua has a cute little photo story about China’s 1.3 billionth citizen, apparently born at 00:02 this morning. Conveniently enough for Xinhua’s news team, the baby was born in Beijing.
