China box office takings first half 2012: Titanic 3D dominates

Below are the box office takings in China for the first half of 2012 as reported by the State Administration of Radio Film and Television (SARFT).

The top grossing film was Titanic 3D which brought in 934 million yuan), while the top earning Chinese film was Painted Skin: The Resurrection 画皮II which sold 216 million yuan’s worth of tickets.
