Danwei recently reported that a chain of stores called Louies Berry has not only copied Versace’s logo, but also fraudulently claimed to be supervised by the Italian fashion house.

Another clothing brand called Poerls is doing the same trick at its Wangfujing store. In addition to the derivative logo, the store claims to be run “under the supervision of Armani” on both the large sign above the store, and the little black plaque pictured below.

The sales staff at the store use a loudspeaker to entice customers, saying “All types of Italian Armani clothing at discount prices”. The clothes do not look anything like Armani clothes and are sold at low prices — shirts go for around RMB 30.
