CCTV.com plagiarism

Chinatravel.net has a new post titled Is a Chinese media giant “borrowing” content from little old us?

Apparently, CCTV’s website has been using their content without permission or payment.

Xinhua first started pirating Danwei content in 2005, and cases of state-owned media organizations using content from English blogs and websites have been documented many times on this website and elsewhere, most recently on GoKunming.com.

But it is perhaps a little disingenuous to call Chinatravel.net “little old us” when it is the property of Ctrip, a Nasdaq-listed company with a market cap of 1.92 billion U.S. dollars.

Update:

A tour operator website has copied the whole Chinatravel.net post and republished it in the forum section of their website.
