The K165 train from Xi’an to Kunming dropped two carriages into a river in Sichuan, providing dramatic images that graced the cover of today’s newspapers, including the Dongguan Times.

No one died in the accident. Flood-weakened piers collapsed with the train’s approach, but passengers were evacuated from the suspended carriages before they fell into the river and were carried off 200 meters downstream.

In local news, the Dongguan Times informs its readers about the location of 121 traffic cameras, and reports on a campaign to identify five “good people” in the town of Zhangmutou.
