A man was attacked by a giant panda at the Beijing Zoo, after he climbed into its enclosure despite the warning sign yesterday, today’s The Beijing News reports.
The man whose name is Zhang Xiao was trying to pick up his son’s toy panda which had fallen inside the panda pen. Zhang was chased by the panda and bit several times on his left leg before zoo keepers rescued him. He suffered several injuries including deep cuts.
The newspaper article also says the panda Gu Gu had previously attacked two people who had tried to approach him.
