The headline of today’s Beijing Youth Daily announces a regulation intended to crack down on illegal securities brokerages promulgated by the Supreme People’s Court, the Supreme People’s Procuratorate, the Ministry of Public Security and the China Securities Regulatory Commission.

The front page picture shows a Beijing company that offers customers baby sitters and housekeepers who are university graduates and even post graduates for hire as housekeepers and babysitters. After an investigation, the Youth Daily reporter found that most of the university-educated employees said they had joined the company to get part time teaching jobs and did not know that they were being used to generate interest in the company’s housekeeping services.

Other headlines include:

• Dongzhimen Subway Station will reopen tomorrow after renovations.

• Beijing’s hutong house renovation project is expected to finish by the end of this year.

• Well-known physicist Yang Zhenning and his young wife Weng Fan both appeared at Sanlian Bookstore yesterday to publicize their new jointly-written book – Dawn Light Collection (曙光集).
