In which Imagethief considers this post by Christian Science Monitor Beijing correspondent Peter Ford, based on this Chinese blog post (a repost of FangKC’s original) that shows People’s Daily front pages about the annual “Two Sessions” government congress from 2004 to 2009, all featuring almost exactly the same design and layout.
The Chinese blog’s name is ‘Very Yellow, Very Violent’ (很黄很暴力 – see ChinaSMACK glossary for explanation).
Most of Very Yellow, Very Violent is yellow rather than violent.
