After the long National Day holiday, the prices of all Audi models currently produced in China (by FAW-VW) are being cut. The A4 3.0 model is dropping by a hefty 65,000 yuan.
This is obviously a move against Audi’s new competitor: the Nissan TEANA which launched in China at the end of last month.
After the price cut, some Audi models are cheaper than the Nissan TEANA. Starting from second quarter of this year, world auto makers in China have been forced to cut prices because of stiff competition and auto financing policies. Despite the price cuts, sales have gone down compared with the same time last year.
