The Financial Times on Sun Dawu

Rural entrepreneur Sun Dawu’s release makes it to the Financial Times in an article headed ‘There’s hope for China, says freed entrepreneur’. The article is quite optimistic:

“For Mr Sun and the academics and legal experts who rallied to his support, the relatively lenient sentence – a suspended prison sentence and the fine – suggest growing willingness among authorities to listen to appeals from civil society.”

Local coverage of Sun Dawu is posted on danwei here and here.
