From Pacific Epoch:
CCTV delayed charging for its digital pay TV channel “Feng Yun” for two months. Feng Yun has been in service for one year and was scheduled to start fee-based service on September 1. However, the digital pay channel’s operator China DTV Media (CDM) postponed charging because less than 5,000 users were willing to pay for the channel. A CDM executive said that pay channels still do not have enough advantage in content compared with free channels. A senior executive of Feng Yun said that Feng Yun planned to broadcast “Friends” but SARFT censored the TV series.
