Bloomberg reports that Zhang Yimou’s kung fu epic Hero (yingxiong was the number one box office draw at American cinemas this last weekend. The figures are:
Revenue: $17.8 million
Number of screens: 2,031
Average revenue per screen: $8,765
Hero is being distributed by Miramax.
