Chinese Olympic delegation

China’s 2004 Athens Olympic delegation is the focus of today’s newspapers. The delegation consists of 407 athletes and 226 officials, who will participate in more than 200 events in 26 sports. This delegation is supposed to be the largest and youngest in Chinese history. (The pictured front page is from the Beijing Youth Daily) .

Public safety issues have been getting more attention lately after a string of little disasters earlier in the year.
