The Heilongjiang Morning Post, founded in 1992, calls itself “the first Morning Post since the founding of People’s Republic.” It is read by the people of Harbin and Daqing in Heilongjiang Province.
Today’s top headline concerns Harbin’s new “iceberg” theater. This building was designed by Rui Leão & Carlota Bruni and is financed by a 700 million yuan investment from the Poly Group and Stanley Ho’s company. It is targeted for completion in 2010. There’s a report here, in Portuguese.
