Jingjiang Evening News is the evening paper associated with the Zhenjiang Daily and published out of Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province.

Typhoon Sepat landed on the Southeast China on August 18, 2007, affecting 3.5 million people in three provinces (Fujian, Zhejiang, and Guangdong), and causing 1.59 billion yuan (US$209 million) in damages. Jingjiang Evening News features this story as its top headline.

The front page photo shows someone pushing his motorized tricycle through a flooded street in Cannan County, Zhejiang, after a heavy storm caused by Sepat.

The first headline on the right-hand side concerns a media investigation into pork hoarding in Beijing. Because of skyrocketing pork prices, a warehouse owner made 2 million yuan (US$263,000 ) in just two months by speculating on pork.
