Awards season is the most wonderful time of year in Shanghai, when every bootleg DVD is crystal clear and we don’t have to wait three months for a good copy of “The Queen.” Columbia, Universal, Paramount and all the other studios flood members of the Academy with DVD copies of their latest flicks … A fair share of those discs, sent in hopes of roping in a few golden statues, end up on the black market….
