This bag of Mexican Chicken Wrap flavored air-puffed potato chips appears to be some kind of educational health-food endorsed by Sesame Street characters. Big Bird, Elmo, and Zoe hang around two pieces of fried chicken that bear no resemblance to the product inside.
The copy on the bag reads (in English):
What’s on your child’s mind? At this age they soak up everything! So give them the good stuff. The more they watch PanPan Foods now, the better they’ll do in school later!
The whole thing is obviously stolen from a CTW ad, and in fact, in the images of the packaging on the Panpan Foods website, you can make out the original, unaltered text urging parents to have their children watch Sesame Street.
Panpan Foods produces these chips in two other flavors – fragrant chicken and grilled steak. The bag for the steak-flavored chips covers over Big Bird with a cartoon cow’s head. Danwei purchased the Mexican chicken wrap variety because it was on sale, and found the flavor to be more reminiscent of KFC than any form of Mexican food.
