Chinese art publishers Timezone 8 have published a book of covering a decade of photography by Zhuang Hui, a fine art and documentary photographer who deserves to be better known.

Timezone 8 are currently compiling a book about 798, the old arms factory that has become the Dashanzi Art District, and are seeking photos. Details below.
“Timezone 8 and Sixiangshousheji are seeking photographs of 798 Factory and/or the Dashanzi Art District (including factory spaces 797, 798, 706, 751, 707 or 718 Factory) for a major publication documenting the changes in the spaces in and around 798 Factory. The objective of the book is to document the past, present and possible futures of the East German-designed arms factory turned art community. The book will be a large format, bi-lingual, 200-250 page book, comprising both texts, interviews and photographs (80%) from different periods in the factory space’s history and include never-before-seen archival material.
