Inspecting a dog market

Yesterday morning, Beijing police inspected an illegal dog market in Changping county. Most vendors were very scared, they tried many ways to escape: some ran as fast as they could, while some threatened the police by claiming their dogs were infected with rabies. The most hilarious scene came from a woman who pretended to be dead. The police saw through her trick and imposed fine on her. There’s an image of her on the front page of Beijing Times, left, click to enlarge). The police confiscated 78 dogs in total.

The leading headline of the pictured Beijing Times is: Sanlitun South Street ends its bar era (the last bars in this area have been removed).
