But Guangdong Party Secretary Wang Yang is not lying low.<span id=\"more-2761\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Bo\u2019s state-led, neo-Maoist \u2018Chongqing Model\u2019 has often been compared to Wang\u2019s \u2018Guangdong Model\u2019 that is seen as more private enterprise-friendly and politically liberal. Bo\u2019s fall has been widely interpreted as the death of the Chongqing Model, but the no such obituaries have been written for the Guangdong Model.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20120423051404\/http:\/\/www.danwei.com\/praise-for-the-50-biggest-taxpayers-in-chongqing\/\">Today\u2019s\u00a0<em>Chongqing Economic Times<\/em><\/a>\u00a0sings the praises of tax-paying companies, specifically mentioning privately-owned enterprises that many considered under attack during Bo\u2019s tenure a Chongqing Party Secretary. In contrast, the front page of today\u2019s\u00a0<em>Shenzhen Metropolis Daily<\/em>\u00a0features a headline about Wang Yang riding in the subway, reading a newspaper.
