Getting<\/p>\n<p>a Chinese visa is easy for Western tourists,<\/p>\n<p>as you don&#8217;t need an invitation, for<\/p>\n<p>example. Chinese Visa is quite cheap<\/p>\n<p>compared to other countries&#8217; visa fees,<\/p>\n<p>with approximately 20\u20ac (200 Chinese RMB)<\/p>\n<p>for one Visa. The usual tourist single-entry<\/p>\n<p>Chinese visa is valid for thirty days<\/p>\n<p>and must be used within three months<\/p>\n<p>after it was issued. In some cases, it<\/p>\n<p>is possible to obtain a visa on arrival<\/p>\n<p>to China, but it is recommended to get<\/p>\n<p>your visa in advance. <\/p>\n<p>A Chinese visa is a permit issued by<\/p>\n<p>the Chinese visa authorities to an alien<\/p>\n<p>for entry into, exit from or transit<\/p>\n<p>through China. The Chinese visa authorities<\/p>\n<p>may issue a Diplomatic, Courtesy, Service<\/p>\n<p>or Ordinary Visa to an alien according<\/p>\n<p>to his status, purpose of visit to China<\/p>\n<p>or passport type. The Ordinary Visa consists<\/p>\n<p>of eight sub-categories, which are respectively<\/p>\n<p>marked with Chinese phonetic letters<\/p>\n<p>C, D, F, G, J-1, J-2, L, X and Z. <\/p>\n<h1><strong>Chinese Visa Categories <\/strong><\/h1>\n<h2><strong>(L) Type Chinese Visa: Visa<\/p>\n<p>for visitors to China <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Chinese (L) Visa is issued to an alien<\/p>\n<p>who comes to China for sightseeing or<\/p>\n<p>visiting family members\/friends. Usually<\/p>\n<p>the validity of a Single Entry or Double<\/p>\n<p>Entry (L) visa is 90 days or 180 days<\/p>\n<p>from the date of issue. This means the<\/p>\n<p>holder of a Chinese L type visa shall<\/p>\n<p>enter China no later than 90 days or<\/p>\n<p>180 days from the date of issue, otherwise<\/p>\n<p>the visa is expired and is null and void.<\/p>\n<p>The duration of stay of an (L) visa is<\/p>\n<p>30 days, which means the holder of the<\/p>\n<p>visa may stay in China for up to 30 days<\/p>\n<p>from the date of entry. The Chinese visa<\/p>\n<p>officer may extend the Duration of Stay<\/p>\n<p>if the applicant needs and requests a<\/p>\n<p>stay in China for more than 30 days. <\/p>\n<h2><strong>(F) Type Chinese Visa: Visa<\/p>\n<p>for doing business in China <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>(F) Visa is issued to an alien who<\/p>\n<p>is invited to China for a visit, an investigation,<\/p>\n<p>a lecture, to do business, scientific-technological<\/p>\n<p>and culture exchanges, short-term advanced<\/p>\n<p>studies or internship for a period of<\/p>\n<p>no more than six months. Usually, the<\/p>\n<p>validity of a Single Entry or Double<\/p>\n<p>Entry (F) visa is 90 days or 180 days<\/p>\n<p>from the date of issue. This means the<\/p>\n<p>holder of the visa shall enter China<\/p>\n<p>no later than 90 days or 180 days from<\/p>\n<p>the date of issue, otherwise the visa<\/p>\n<p>is expired and is null and void. The<\/p>\n<p>duration of stay of a (F) visa is 30<\/p>\n<p>days, which means the holder of the visa<\/p>\n<p>may stay in China for up to 30 days from<\/p>\n<p>the date of entry. The visa officer may<\/p>\n<p>extend the Duration of Stay if the applicant<\/p>\n<p>needs and requests a stay in China for<\/p>\n<p>more than 30 days. <strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><strong>(Z) Type Chinese Visa: Visa<\/p>\n<p>for working in China <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>(Z) Visa is issued to an alien who<\/p>\n<p>comes to China for a post<\/p>\n<p>or employment, and his\/her accompanying<\/p>\n<p>family members. (Z) visa is valid for<\/p>\n<p>one entry, three months. The holder of<\/p>\n<p>a (Z) visa shall go through residential<\/p>\n<p>formalities in the local public security<\/p>\n<p>department within thirty days of entry<\/p>\n<p>into China. <\/p>\n<p>Any person suffering from mental disorder,<\/p>\n<p>leprosy, AIDS, venereal diseases, contagious<\/p>\n<p>tuberculosis or other such infectious<\/p>\n<p>diseases shall not be permitted to enter<\/p>\n<p>China. <strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><strong>(X) Type Chinese Visa: Visa<\/p>\n<p>for studying in China <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>(X) Visa is issued to an alien who<\/p>\n<p>comes to China for study, advanced studies<\/p>\n<p>or intern practice for a period of more<\/p>\n<p>than six months. An alien who comes to<\/p>\n<p>China to study, short-term advanced studies<\/p>\n<p>or intern practice for a period of no<\/p>\n<p>more than six months shall apply for<\/p>\n<p>a (F) Visa. Generally, (X) visa is valid<\/p>\n<p>for one entry, three months. American<\/p>\n<p>citizens may apply multiple entry (X)<\/p>\n<p>visas valid for 12 months, and the application<\/p>\n<p>fee is $150.
