Today’s papers had two deadly accidents to choose from for the front page. A train that derailed in Jiangxi Province on Sunday left 19 dead, and a highway crash between a truck and a bus in Liaoning Province killed 32.
Some papers went with photos of the train wreck, or of earth movers working to clear the rail cars. Jiangxi Daily, the provincial party mouthpiece, printed a shot of party leaders touring the site. Other papers showed a crane lifting the burnt-out frame of a passenger bus off the roadway.
New Express chose to feature both stories in large headlines, atop a photo of train wreckage.
